Fire safety extinguisher is an active fire protection tool that is frequently used in emergency situations to put out or control small fires. It is not meant to be used on an out-of-control fire that has reached the ceiling, puts the user in danger (due to lack of an escape path, smoke, explosion risk, etc.), or calls for the expertise of a fire brigade in any other way. A dry chemical or pressurised water is often the substance kept in a fire safety extinguisher. On Class A, B, and C fires, dry chemical agents can be utilised as a powder.
